Description

Obtained from Criollo and Trinitario cocoa beans grown on the Bejofo Estate in Madagascar, in the Sambirano region, this dark chocolate has a clear aromatic preponderance of cocoa, accompanied by notes of red fruit jam, cream and walnut.

Founded in 1924, Bejofo Estate is one of the island's historic plantations and stands out not only for the quality of its crops, but also for its attention to ethical and environmental issues. The estate has recently converted to solar energy, provided land to employees to make them self-sufficient, helped build schools, and provided and distributed medicines to the local community.
